Originally Bantam used a photo montage approach to the Wild Cards covers.
After five volumes , the series was repackaged, with a whole new cover approach.

Beginning with volume six (Ace in the Hole), however, Bantam decided to repackage the series,
and hired well-known comics artist Tim Truman to give books a new look.
The first five books were re-released with new Truman covers when volume six came out,
and Tim remained the cover artist for the remainder of our run at Bantam, which took the series up to volume twelve.
